Theta Functions for Sl(n) versus Gl(n)

چکیده

Over a smooth complex projective curve C of genus g one may consider two types of moduli spaces of vector bundles, M := M(n, d), the moduli space of semistable bundles of rank n and degree d on C, and SM := SM(n, L), the moduli space of those bundles whose determinant is isomorphic to a fixed line bundle L on C. We call the former a full moduli space and the latter a fixed-determinant moduli space. Since the spaces SM(n, L) are all isomorphic as L varies in Pic(C), we also write SM(n, d) to denote any one of them. On both moduli spaces there are well-defined theta bundles, as we recall in Section 1. While the theta bundle θ on SM is uniquely defined, the theta bundles θF on M depend on the choice of complementary vector bundles F of minimal rank over C. For any positive integer k, sections of θ F generalize the classical theta functions of level k on the Jacobian of a curve, and so we call sections of θ over SM and θ F over M theta functions of level k for SL(n) and GL(n) respectively. Our goal is to study the relationship between these two spaces of theta functions. We prove a simple formula relating their dimensions, and then formulate a conjectural duality between these two spaces.

Superanalogs of the Calogero Operators and Jack Polynomials

Abstract A depending on a complex parameter k superanalog SL of Calogero operator is constructed; it is related with the root system of the Lie superalgebra gl(n|m). For m = 0 we obtain the usual Calogero operator; for m = 1 we obtain, up to a change of indeterminates and parameter k the operator constructed by Veselov, Chalykh and Feigin [2, 3]. For k = 1, 1 2 the operator SL is the radial par...

CALCULUS OF PRINCIPAL SERIES WHITTAKER FUNCTIONS ON SL(n,R)

We study Whittaker functions for the principal series representation of SL(n,R). We derive a system of partial differential equations characterizing our Whittaker functions. We give explicitly power series solutions at the regular singularity of the system, and integral representations of unique moderate growth Whittaker function. Introduction In this paper we explicitly determine the radial pa...

Construction of Graded Covariant GL(m/n) Modules Using Tableaux

Irreducible covariant tensor modules for the Lie supergroups GL(m/n) and the Lie superalgebras gl(m/n) and sl(m/n) are obtained through the use of Young tableaux techniques. The starting point is the graded permutation action, first introduced by Dondi and Jarvis, on V. The isomorphism between this group of actions and the symmetric group Sl enables the graded generalization of the Young symmet...

Polynomial super-gl(n) algebras

We introduce a class of finite dimensional nonlinear superalgebras L = L0 + L1 providing gradings of L0 = gl(n) ' sl(n) + gl(1). Odd generators close by anticommutation on polynomials (of degree > 1) in the gl(n) generators. Specifically, we investigate ‘type I’ super-gl(n) algebras, having odd generators transforming in a single irreducible representation of gl(n) together with its contragredi...

The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics Induced Representations of the Multiparameter Hopf

We construct induced representations of the multiparameter Hopf superalgebras Uuq(gl(m=n)) and Uuq(sl(m=n)). The rst superalgebra we constructed earlier as the dual of the multiparameter quantum deformation of the supergroup GL(m=n). The second superalgebra is a Hopf subalgebra of the rst for a special choice of the parameters. The representations are labelled by m+n integer numbers, respective...
